जौर्नल 3

How's your karma? If you had one do-over, one day to live over, what would it be? How would it change the outcome today?
My karma depends on my week and dedication to my faith. For my God does not act favorably upon me when my actions do not favorably represent he who lives through the actions of the community. Generally if I do something wrong, its generally my guilt that effects me the most and guides me back to the strait and narrow. My karma is usually also following Murphy’s Law, if anything it can go wrong, it probably will.
If I could change one thing about my life, that would be desire to grow up so fast. As the oldest brother, responsibility and maturity were constantly expected from me, yet its not something that I necessarily desired. I wish I could undo scarring mental images that high school brings, as we begin to see drinking at rampant levels and the children we grow up with, turn to drugs to escape. Those are images I never wanted to see, yet became a part of my friend group and their lives.

जौर्नल #2

Citing several examples from the latter part of the chapter, defend Rama's and Vali's argument, using your own moral reasoning, then in another paragraph, compare the situation to modern international politics and conflicts.- Vali asks to find what his crimes were and basically why was he basically struck in the back before Rama attempted to negotiate in peaceful terms. Vali desired to be Rama’s friend, yet Rama attacked him without attempting any sort of politics. The story than basically suggests that a fist is stronger than words, but it should be the other way around.

In modern times, an example would be the do not negotiate with terrorists rule that the United States uses in diplomacy with international terrorists. What the novel suggests is to work with your enemies to find your objective. The classic saying ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’ logic could have been applied to this lifestyle because enlisting Vali would have had more benefits than the death and killing of Vali.

Epilogue

So everyone’s wasted, So we slip away
Who knew that would be the last time
I ever got to see your face
To feel your touch, to taste your breath
Wanting memories, but that’s all that’s left
So I pray, I pray that you are safe
While the rest of us are left behind
There are no longer children,
Just the ashes, burns and the pain
Mirrored in the passing of your life

Journal: Cite at least two examples (with pg. numbers) in the first two chapters of Ramayana where you see evidence of the divine being IMMANENT, and discuss how they fit this criteria. Make also, at least three instances of appearances being ILLUSORY and what these might mean.;
Read "Two Promises Revived"
\
On page 28, divine power becomes immanent when they begin to speak of the power of the bow that hasn’t been pulled or strung since the God who made it, used it, “…even if he lifts and strings it.”
Another instance where there is immanence of divine beings is when Rama defeats the opposing forces of evil on page 8, thus doing something no normal mortal could possible accomplish.
Where do appearances become illusory? Firstly, appearances become illusory when Rama see’s his future bride and she is taken over by lust for a man(pg 28). Secondly, when Rama fearlessly breaks a great bow of strength that a mortal couldn’t break and that was never expected to be broken, or strung(pg 28). Thirdly, the power of the God’s to deliver people from famine and drought, seems semi illusory because of the great expanse of land that seems to be effected, yet many of the people still appear to prosper.

Answer of Faith

Just a vessel of Your glory
A steward given glimpses of a populace
To address and travel on a journey
While searching for Your Salvation

Or truth, enlightenment
As dual fascination
A challenge to You
Returned with Your loves tingling sensation

For truth put forth is remittance
Behind
So with this prayer
Is my answer of faith
Allowed to question
Your Time?

Above

Beautiful complexion
In need of inspection
Come here now

We don’t believe in forever
But one night is even better
So what is love?
Come here and lets share gifts of the above

Give me a shot,
One night,
And Il be your chaser

But let this night
Be a blur
As long as when you awake
You can face a scarred mirror

murmur

The poets on strike
Emphasis on the lack of capitalization of the poet
For to possess a title you must be the subject of matter
But yet in what circles
Do you hear The Poet?
Rather you hear people whisper of a poet
Maybe when time is gone and stories become myths, myths become legends
Can they whisper of a poet
But in the present future
There will be no title accepted but the one of Austin;
Consequently,
The Poet.

it is the climb

The essence of smoke is to fade
The essence of life as a mountain is to climb
Can you climb and fade at the same time?
Or by fading do you slide rather than climb?

To elevate to tall peeks and be touched with spirit
Or to fade downwards,
Is sliding part of the climb?
Climbing means we will inevitably fall, question whether you will be caught worthy of being saved?
To fade while trying to climb, you end up sliding to earth’s core
Where there is a devil,
And I’ve been to hell and back and made it back fine
As I refuse to fade and surrender to the pain of the climb

Migrate

A bird, A sea, A destiny
A scowl, A flare, hereditary
A drink, Salt, Salt of sea
Anger denounced at an early stage

Why should the bird not fly away,
Migrate to a happier place,
Where the weathers warm
Calypso is a harsh cold

Blackbird!
Or was it BlackBeard?
Sailing a ship, of immortality
Yet mortal as self

Just a temporary gig
Give the bird a swig,
And tell him to be on his way
Never re-open the deck,
For lust patiently waits

In essence the bird flees,
But from what,
He is unwanted in originality’s birthplace
Give the bird a lighter, the girl some mace
Send the bird on its way,
For his call is un-returned
For his wings float
But in mind and bodies wants nothing is met

So do not return the once sought call
Do not send, the once searched message
Do not text the question…
The bird chose to migrate and left the twenty first century behind
There is an answer

In Every Direction(Junip take)

Your the center and you will always be
In every direction
Seeing stars
But you’re the Earth to me

But an alien called,
Took you in a spaceship
I took another
Hit.

I killed the alien
He wasn’t a friend
Because you’re the Earth
But I think your spinning out of control…
In every direction

Like I screwed up,
But that doesn’t make a match
One point
An idea begins to hatch

To return the point
To win it back
I know I can
For I was her man

So return serve
Spilt step and volley
Tell the other guy to shut up
He’s a loser pushing a trolley

Trying to sell you a beer
For that s his only chance
But I return the serve
Better than a drink’s appealing trance

Stronger than the river

I will be stronger then the river
That flows and chases me
That’s waters depths are misunderstood
Like a miswritten book

In waters that are black
I will be the scum
Waiting to be washed away
Yet clinging all matter of fact

I will be the foam
Of a rabid beast
Clinging sideways
Fighting for a taste of meat

The challenges she wrote against me
Don’t offend my eyes
For she becomes the rapids
Yet I am stronger then the river

B3 shoutout

Sometimes letting life come to you works wonders. It’s funny that we decidedly used this metaphor to elaborate our dear friend, but when we all got our licenses, it fit the best. He got the brand new car, and it’s cyber technologies were way advanced. The car actually drove him. Sure, he was behind the wheel, but he had no idea where he was going. I’m glad he drove to the right place. Best of luck, to my best friend, hopefully life keeps driving us safely home on our adventures through space and time.

EVOL

Have you ever heard?
That if you hurt the wrong person,
You will be wrong all your life
So I’m going to dedicate this one to tonight

All that matters is my thoughts and yours
Love spelled backwards is evol
But add two letters,
And even evol can evolve

Past the symbolism,
Evolving is a puzzle
But when pieces are placed just right
It’s a wonder when placed to fit
What Life can be solved.

Helplessness, call Fleet Fox,
Stick yourself in a box
And passionaltely await until the beat comes
And your feet will start to rock

Then just sway-
Get Carried away
Tomorrow will come
But this is our day…

Except if its raining,
Then I recommend
Laying in bed ,
Bitching and complaining

Summer’s Sand

Girl, the way you shake
Is sort of like a gift,
If we were playing in the sand
Through you my hands would sift

The sun plays its elongated gaze,
Down on your back,
My hands find ways
Sensuality, sunscreen is a solution for that…

In return,
I get what I yearn,
A caressing hand,
Worries, together we have bridges to burn.

Spray

Do not look for me in the day,
As I am dead to the night
Do not look for me in the river
As the bed has long been dried

Leave everything to all my friends
That’s how the story started
But others worlds halted
For one, this is ends

To dream, to fail to conquer
Yet unable to rise morrow’
Leaving others pain
Granting eternal relief of sorrow

Not understanding that soon all
Will change with suns high arch
The venom in life
Chastised like the ever hated shark

For salt sprayed waters
No longer gave any thrills
So the shark moved on
To land and the hills

He who taketh over and away
Grant this wish
To accept and forgive one of ten commandments
He did disobey

Out of natural habitat-
The shark cannot swim on land
But this was the intent
To be breathless in the sand

For many holes lay scarred across
Heart
It would have been easier to stop
Before he ever dreamt to start

Living easy upon a prayer
What causes others pain,
In salvations armory
why should he care?
Stop, Stop!
Don’t even begin your glass
We are much better without
We can do better at last

For we are stars
That wish to collide
But I really hate being with you with
Those red eyes

So Jesus as witness
I listen to your plea
We shall rise above
Just you and me

So fresh, So clean
Put Hawaii on the map,
My mind wasn’t thinking
But clear I am now
Don’t give up
But look forward, Just as we look back

Chance

Once upon an hour before eight, temptation came and asked of fate
Once upon a night so down, and dreary, would she even come so close and near me
Once upon a rage so blighted, everyone near sighted suddenly became lighted
Once upon a touch so rare, temptation crept and tugged at hair
Once upon the hero suddenly awoke, and temptation gave a slight toke..
But brave new world alas, temptation came and temptation passed,
The temptress riddled and rattled, but her musky voice was drowned and rationally paddled
Down the stream that some call youth, turned to maturity beyond that of an uncouth
Returns the Poet to better ways, enters Chance and soon she filled his days
With more than just an illusion, conjured that Chance offered protection and seclusion
Chance filled his thoughts with new world hunger, But will our Hero fall or plunder?
Mistaken falsities of a begotten shrew, Poet let the new world is ready for you
So Chance can come and sweep you off the court, dammed tennis probs not my sport
Maybe the Poet, will be a white stallion , Chance of wonders, wonderland in bastion
Quoth thy ever fall into the hero’s old depths and into a museum of the decrypt
The temptress queerly awaits and sits, and if she were ever to rise from her eyes rise from palpable slits
The Hero’s blade will fall fast and simply behead the temptress, like and itch, because the Hero hates none, but nobody likes a bitch
Once upon a time, Chance came just to say that the weather is clear, this is our flight, no rain delay
